How Do I Increase My Daily Search Engine Traffic Organically

Four lanes back to back with vehicle trafficIts logically safe to say that if I wanted to increase my search engine traffic I would have to give first and then receive.

Not getting to technical, but the process of doing this is by implementing SEO, search engine optimisation of your page is going to really help in how the search engines determine if the keyword you want to rank for is  going to best suit the search engines user (your intended traffic).

On site Optimisation

Essentially there are 8 pillars of search engine optimisation, that I’m going to cover so you can formulate them today. On site optimisation is the start and I’m going to get into this right now.

Title

The title is what will show up in the search engine as the result that’s underlined. Its important that the title has the main keyword, key phrase or keywords  you want to relevantly rank for.

The title in the post above is

Best Link To Leave When Posting a Comment

This is a key phrase, as no word in there really is a precise keyword (it does have keywords in their though) and its more than likely the chances are someone is going to search relatively for the full phrase or near enough.

Let me show you another title that acts as a key phrase and has many keywords in there:

The title in the above image is:

Easy to join Affiliate Programs

This title is directly to the point, holds keywords in there for anyone searching for this kind of solution and they should immediately resonate with this title being the one that will be of benefit to them.

This title is an emotional one, people do have problems with joining affiliate programs and my decision in picking that title is  beneficial for me in many ways.

Meta Description

The meta description is the text that you commonly see underneath a result in the search engines.

The meta description is more powerful than you would imagine and it can insure that you have your page rank in more verticals than you would of thought.

A vertical is just an area in the search engine for a particular topic, keyword or key phrase.

Please watch the video below as its easier for me to explain the benefit of this.

URL Structure

Correct use of how you structure your URL allows Google robots to identify what the nature of your page is going to detail. You are also able to take advantage of correctly assigning a keyword category and publishing your post in the correct category.

The added benefit of this is that you quite rightfully so will have more keywords in your Page URL that Google will be able to signify as a potentially highly relevant for the nature of the users search.

The diagram above depicts the URL structure of my “Easy to join Affiliate Programs” post, you can see that i determined the category for this post to be published in affiliate marketing and this is very powerful as i shared with you in the video above in the best meta description length example tutorial video.

What you have just learnt above is what is going to help you decipher your advantages/chances of your post being a respectable relevant candidate for a first page rank. Yes there are many other factors that will make your blog publishing’s be seen as a definite first page rank for the nature of your post.

Google Webmaster Tools - Keyword SignificanceFor example in Google Webmaster Tools, my blog has hit the full bar for Marketing. This means Google gives my blog 100% when determining the overall relevance of my blog to Marketing.

There are many other factors that i only share in my Newsletter, which you can join when you get to the bottom of this post, that’s if you really are prepared for much more advanced marketing solutions.

Lets carry on.

OK now I want you to imagine that based on everything I showed you above, your intended traffic decided to click your result in there returned Google searched results.

What I now go on to teach are the facts of further more on site optimisation that Google will see when they crawl your site.

Heading Tags

My blog runs on Thematic, it is a FREE SEO award winning wordpress theme and it allows me to be very much productive when i decide on sharing immensely powerful marketing solutions.

The most important heading tag is whats called a H1 tag, it basically tells the robots what you would like the main authority to be on the page they are crawling.

Pointing tot he Heading Tags ContentWhen I publish a blog post or blog page, my theme will make the title of my page the H1 tag.

The next heading tag that’s important is the H2 tag and these are used as sub heading topics as you carry on down writing your content.

On this post, my H2 tag is “On Site Optimisation” and I generally only use H2 tags. These (H1 & H2) are the most important.

Alt and Title Tags

Another way to make your pages content have even more relevance to the keyword your going for is to add relevant media to your page.

Images are a form of media, this is where you can utilise ALT tags and Title tags.

An alt tag is the text that will render if the image does not render when your page loads. The ALT tags are used as accessibility for those that are blind so there browsing experience is more friendly. Basically the descriptive text left for alt tag syntax in greenan image will allow a blind person to interact with the image as they will have a utility that will read the page out to them.

An image without a ALT tag is given a fine from Google, because it will tell a blind person that no text was given for the image and this will make the browisng experience for a blind person not nice.

Not giving an ALT tag will reflect in your pages rank not being given as much authority as your competitor in your vertical who has added ALT tags to all there images.

Title tags when speaking about images, are used to display text when someone hovers their mouse over the image.

Example: hover over my newsletter above for you to see what I am talking about.

You most definitely need to fixate a relevant ALT tag to your images, preferably the keyword in your title that you want the page to rank for and make sure it is descriptive.

Relevant Rich Keywords

page from dictionary glancing over the word qualityThe relevance of your content must reflect the subject matter and you should do enough research based on the title you went with.

Its a good idea to look at who is already ranking for the title you are going with. You should not only type your title exactly how you have labelled your page, but you should also type it in many other different ways like I showed you in the “best meta description length example tutorial video”.

The best way to create  highly keyword rich relevant content, is to research what you are going to be writing about and if you do it with passion, you will write so much about the main attributes needed for your intended traffic

Sub Subject Matter

Topical subject matters allows the reader and Google robots to determine certain sections of your post/page that will be important.

In this post I have made my topical sub subject matter titles in bold, in between these bolded sub subject titles hold enough content in regards to the sub subject matters.

Let me further elaborate; the main subject matter is the title “How Do I Increase My Daily Search Engine Traffic Organically” and to really go about this, you have to employ “On Site Optimisation”, the latter of On Site Optimisation is every sub subject matter that I have made bold in the post.

Not only will that make it identifiable to you the person who is absorbing the knowledge on this post to go away and increase your daily search engine traffic organically, but it also will make it clear to the search engine robots when they crawl my post, that i have in fact got many of the main keywords relevant for the title of this post.

Images

Images are a very important part of increasing your daily search engine traffic organically, because you can get a lot of traffic to your site, but if they land on your post and find it jarring they will immediately bounce. This has a bad effect on the authority of your post/website.

Google will see that people land on your site and immediately bounce.

The main reasons for this is that they people landing on your site, do not enjoy the way the site is optimised. So that could fall down to:

  • No use of images when writing a lot content, images will decrease your users retention rate.
  • The content does not flow, it does not speak to the person who is most predominately going to land on your site.
  • Too much fluff and no filler, how helpful is the content
  • The look of the site

There are many things. Just go out of your way to please your intended traffic so they can always go away feeling they had the problem solved or whatever your intended traffic was most looking for.

That now balls down to On Site Optimisation and is more than enough for you to go away and implement what needs to be implemented on your site to ready the traffic that I am going to show you in my next post how to grab. As you can see, it all balls down to the content on your site.

It would help me very much if you could leave comments and suggest areas you are unsure of or would like me to cover before I post the ripe ways to squeeze traffic to your posts.

Much to your success

Robert Antwi

@Daniel Arquois: Think of exactly what you want traffic for. What are you willing to give; that your traffic will be willing to receive?
